Relating to nonunanimous jury verdicts in criminal trials; prescribing an effective date.

Abstract

Repeals statutory authority for nonunanimous jury verdicts in criminal trials. Takes effect only if constitutional amendment proposed by House Joint Resolution 10 (2019) is approved by people at regular general election held in November 2020. Takes effect on effective date of constitutional amendment proposed by House Joint Resolution 10 (2019).
